Obedience training is one of the best things you can do for your dog or puppy and yourself. Obedience training doesn't solve all behavior problems, but it is the foundation for solving just about any problem. Training opens up a line of communication between you and your dog.

Obedience training is also an easy way to establish the social hierarchy. When your dog obeys a simple request of 'come here,' 'sit,' he is showing compliance and respect for you.

Evelyne's first job is to educate your dog.  Once your dog understands what a command means and makes a correct choice, he receives love and praise. When he makes a wrong choice, he is reminded what is expected of him

Obedience training should be fun and rewarding for you and your dog. It can enrich your relationship and make living together more enjoyable. A well-trained dog is more confident and can more safely be allowed a greater amount of freedom than an untrained one.
Sometimes it's best to have your dog evaluated before deciding what training program would be best, especially with dogs that suffer from insecurity, protectiveness or aggressive behavior.  This consultation can be extremely important in determining the nature of your dog as well as give you a better understanding of what type of trainer Evelyne is. Evelyne wants you to trust her for who she is and not simply because she calls herself a trainer.

Evelyne will get a better feel for what type of relationship you currently have with your dog.  You will feel secure in knowing she is offering the best training program based upon your individual needs and the needs of your dog.

Dog owners frequently ask which is better – private lessons or group classes?  The short answer is this:
What are your priorities for your dog?

If your personal or family schedule does not allow you the time needed or, non-dog-owning (or loving!) relatives are coming to visit and your adolescent pup is totally out of control in the house, then perhaps the  "Personal Training" Program is a better investment. If you are frustrated with a new puppy, but he is still too young for puppy class, then a Home Visit is probably in order. If your dog is so distracted by the presence of other dogs, would also be a reason to consider private lessons.

Private lessons are done in your home. While more expensive than group classes, Evelyne finds private lessons usually require fewer visits since you are essentially buying all of her time to be devoted just to you and your dog.
On the other hand, if you will be happy just to have your dog know enough to listen to some basic commands and behave in public, then a "Group Class" or the "One On One" Program is for you. If your goal is to socialize a puppy with other dogs in a safe environment, or your dog understands the basics (come, sit, down, walk on a leash, stay) then a group class is the opportunity to add distractions in a controlled environment.
